I returned to school for a degree in Information and Library Science in order to pursue a desire to merge technology skills acquired in a former career with a personal interest in the study of art history. My research interest is in the ways that technology is advancing the study of art history and how museums are adapting. A fascinating fact I learned was that leveraging technology in the study of art was a pursuit of visionaries since the 1960s, at which time a big conference was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Today, many of the topics discussed then are yet to be realized.
