I am the curatorial associate for African & Pacific Ethnology at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. AMNH has been an incredibly supportive institution for fostering many research projects synthesizing historical & medical anthropology with current publications in progress ranging from semiotic engagement in permanent cultural exhibitions and ethnomedical beliefs & zootherapeutic practices along the Nile River in Sudan, among others. Each semester, I take on 5-8 interns who have the opportunity to conduct research on many projects, including an ongoing initiative to expand scientific analysis on the African collections for the AMNH & ARTstor databases.
